Curriculum & Assessment
We believe that children learn best with a broad and balanced curriculum that engages them and enables them to make and see links between subjects whilst learning from first hand experience whenever possible.

Phonics
At Hare Street Community Primary School and Nursery we follow the Little Wandle Phonics programme. This is the systematic synthetic phonics that we use at Hare Street.
The children progress through the colour banded reading scheme incorporating Bug Club alongside other texts. This enables them to become "free readers" which is assessed by class teachers.
