The 2 Johns Safeguarding Internet and Online Safety Training for Parents
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND FROM PARENTS!
THE 2 JOHNS SAFEGUARDING INTERNET AND ONLINE SAFETY TRAINING FOR PARENTS.
We have booked the 2 Johns to work with parents on the afternoon of Monday 14th October. They will be speaking to parents and demonstrating how you can help to keep your children safer when they are online. The 2 Johns will raise your awareness of how children can be groomed unsuspectingly and how parents can monitor and advise their children so that they are as safe as possible. This is a hard hitting piece of training and awareness raising but it is essential if we want to keep our children as safe as possible when they are online.
The training includes how to help your children with the following; using games online, Cyber bullying, mobile phone safety, social media and how to keep personal information secure.
We have rebooked The 2 Johns following last year’s successful day with them, many parents who were not able to attend but heard how good they were have asked for them to return to school. Parents who did attend were shocked by the potential dangers when their children are online and commented on how eye opening and helpful the training was for them.
We want our children to use the internet safely for homework, games and entertainment and this session will help us all understand how we can help them to do this.
The 2 Johns will be working with children in Key Stage 2 in the morning and parents in the afternoon.
The session starts at 1.30pm promptly. Parents should come into school via the front entrance and we will open the doors at 1.15pm so you can be seated ready for the start of the session.
I look forward to welcoming you into school on Monday afternoon.
