School Uniform

Wearing our school uniform helps develop a sense of pride, identity and belonging. We encourage all pupils to wear their uniform respectfully and confidently.

Reception to Year 4 (KS1 and Lower KS2)

Children in Reception, Year 1 to Year 4 must wear:

Hare Street branded sweatshirt or Hare Street branded cardigan
White shirt or blouse
Grey trousers, skirt or shorts
Black school shoes

Children only require one branded upper body item.

Pupils are issued with a school tie in Year 3, provided by the school for use from Year 3 to Year 6. Parents are not required to purchase a tie. If a tie is lost, please speak to a member of staff.

Year 5 to Year 6 Uniform (Upper Key Stage 2)

Children in Year 5 to Year 6 must wear:

Hare Street blazer
White shirt or blouse
Grey trousers, skirt or shorts
Black school shoes

A plain blue jumper or cardigan may be worn underneath and is not required to be branded.

Reception to Year 6 – PE Kit (KS1 and KS2)

Hare Street branded PE T-shirt or Home of the Hares branded PE T-shirt
Hare Street branded PE jacket or branded PE tracksuit top
Plain navy PE shorts or plain navy jogging bottoms
Trainers

No plain PE T-shirt or plain PE jacket/top is permitted.

Plain navy PE bottoms may be purchased from any supermarket or retailer.

PE kit should also be worn by Nursery children on PE days.

Sports Teams & Events

Specialist team kit for sports fixtures and events will be provided and owned by the school.
Families will not be asked to purchase team kit.
Kit is loaned and collected back after each event.

Optional Branded PE or Uniform Items

Families may choose to purchase additional branded PE or uniform items if they wish, however:

These items are optional and not required
Children will not be disadvantaged if they do not have them
Plain alternatives are always acceptable where relevant
Optional items do not count towards the compulsory branded uniform limit

Only school approved suppliers may produce official Hare Street logo uniform.

Additional Information

All uniform items should be clearly labelled with your child’s name
Long hair should be tied back
Dyed or extreme hairstyles are not permitted
Families are encouraged to help children practice dressing skills to build independence
